Last week was week 4 of the frank Body Go Natural Challenge. The week where I combine all three of my lifestyle changes and try it out for a week! In case you forgot, I started out with the Bathroom Detox, where I went paraben-free. Then came the Kitchen Detox, where I cut out all sugary drinks and replaced them with infused waters. Finally, I detoxed my Body and Brain – the week I practiced self-care and focused on some very needed “me-time.”
When frank Body approached me with this challenge, I’ve got to say, I was a little hesitant. I’m a person that’s stuck to her habits. I like my morning makeup routines, the multiple cups of coffee throughout the day, and the various YouTube videos that I watch before bed. I knew getting out of those habits would probably make me feel better in the long-run but getting out of them was the biggest challenge.
But taking this step has been a whole lot of fun! I’ve been able to spend time on myself. It’s taught me that I can survive without that extra cup of caffeine. Streamlining my makeup routine meant taking out some of the full-coverage products I used and replacing them with a lighter base or no base at all, making me more confident in my own skin!
I highly recommend detoxing little parts of your lifestyle to slowly ease out of your normal routine if you’re trying to make a change.
